4 stars only because we stopped in for a gift card and didn't sit down. We were quickly approached by someone who immediately grabbed us a gift certificate and took care of us. The decor and feel of the place is cozy and beachy. It did smell like fish, but really good fish, and I'm not a seafood person. The bar looked comfortable and interesting from afar. If we were more into seafood, we'd definitely go back and try it out.
My family and I all went here for a birthday. It was a great night! the food was absolutely delicious and they were willing to work with us to get exactly what we wanted! They turned one of the nights specials that was normally an appetizer into an entree for me (Cajun shrimp tacos). The atmosphere is warm and relaxing and there is a beautiful and large outside patio. Great staff and great food!
I work go to place for fish and seafood in the Farmington Valley. Meals are consistently good, plentiful salads serve family-style, full bar and adequate wine list. Wait staff is friendly and professional. Pub menu served in the bar area which is still quiet enough to carry on conversations with friends. Dinner menu in the remainder of the restaurant. Consistently very good.
Yesterday I attended an engagement party at the Saybrook Fish House in Canton. There were about 35 people in attendance and the staff did such a nice job. The private room was great and the holiday decorum added a special touch. The food was fantastic and the service was great! I would definitely recommend this restaurant for special celebrations.
Love this place! Especially after tubing on farmington river l... it's just down the street and the outside patio is really nice. Usually get the boom boom shrimp (amazing) the calamari and shrimp are huge and always fresh... entrees are pricey but apps are decent priced and amazing!!! Visit for yourself you won't be disappointed
