The shop is one of the best small shops in Connecticut bar none, it is amazing and Susan is knowledgeable proprietor. The previous review is obviously by somebody who is unfamiliar with the antiquarian book trade and has no idea of the current market for certain books.
This book shop has an excellent inventory of old books on just about every topic you can think of. If you are in Connecticut and are looking for a wide selection of antique books to browse, this is the place to go to.
Awful experience. I heard from a friend that she bought old books so I called first and then brought my box of books over. I was only there for about a minute and yet this rude woman deemed all my old books "common and not for her". I know for a fact that there were some good first editions in there. This was a big waste of my time, plus she went through my books on the floor. Very unprofessional. Will not go back or recommend.
